Marcelo Ferrari - Semente

Então você acessa o meu blog e pensa "Oh, ela é uma guitarrista de metal e toca muito pesado e toca em bandas de heavy/thrash metal e ela gosta de guitarristas que tocam metal e...", bem, isto é verdade sim, em parte, mas não é bem assim.

A verdade é que eu sou bem eclética em matéria de gosto musical. Isto vem do fato de eu ter tido a oportunidade de ter contato com culturas variadas e expressões artísticas múltiplas desde pequena.

E mais do que isto, eu gosto da boa música, independente de estilo musical.

Se você reparar nos guitarristas que eu cito por aqui, eles são também bem variados. É certo que a minha maior influência na música é e sempre será o Randy Rhoads. E é certo que eu também gosto muito de ouvir outros grandes guitarristas de heavy metal. Mas guitarristas como Paco de Lucia, Jimi Hendrix, Guthrie Govan, Jeff Beck, Allan Holdsworth, são também grandes influências para mim, tá bom?

E o meu professor de guitarra também não é um guitarrista que toca heavy metal, e ele é um grande professor e uma influência para mim em inúmeros aspectos relacionados à música (não só isto).

O meu professor, que se chama Marcelo Ferrari, é um guitarrista de múltiplos talentos e grande conhecimento em variados estilos, e ele acaba de lançar um novo álbum que é um álbum de rock progressivo, e eu gosto muito muito de rock progressivo também. Bandas como Yes, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull e outras, são bandas que eu sempre amei, com especial ênfase no Yes, que é uma banda pela qual eu sempre fui apaixonada.

O novo álbum do Marcelo Ferrari chama-se SEMENTE, e eu estou apaixonada por este novo álbum dele, tá bom?

O SEMENTE apresenta uma música contínua de mais de 70 minutos de duração, dividida em 37 faixas, e embalada por variados elementos como Blues, Erudito, Reggae, e instrumentos variados.

Nos últimos dias, eu estou encontrando muitas boas vibrações ao ouvir o SEMENTE de manhã bem cedinho, quando eu acordo.

Marcelo Ferrari é um guitarrista realmente impressionante, um grande professor de guitarra, e alguém que é realmente do bem.

Espero que vocês gostem da minha dica, vale a pena ouvir o SEMENTE.

And so you visit my blog and think "Oh, she is a metal guitarist and plays very heavy and loud,  and she plays in heavy/thrash metal bands and she likes guitarists who plays metal and ..." well, that's true, but not quite.

The truth is that I'm very eclectic in terms of musical taste. This comes from the fact that I have had the opportunity to have contact with different cultures and multiple artistic expressions from an early age.

And more than that, I like good music, regardless of musical style.

If you notice the guitarists that I quote here, they are also very varied. Certainly my biggest influence in music is and always will be Randy Rhoads. And is true that I also like to hear other great metal guitarists. But guitarists like Paco de Lucia, Jimi Hendrix, Guthrie Govan, Jeff Beck, Allan Holdsworth, are also big influences for me, okay?

And my guitar teacher is not a metal guitarist, and he is a great teacher and an influence for me in many aspects related to music (not only this).

My teacher, Marcelo Ferrari, is a multi-talented guitarist and great knowledge in different styles, and he has just released a new album that is a progressive rock album, and I like progressive rock as well. Bands like Yes, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull and others, are bands that I always loved, with special emphasis on Yes, that is a band for which I have always been passionate.

The new album of Marcelo Ferrari is called SEMENTE (SEED), and I'm in love with this new album, okay? =)

SEMENTE presents a continuous music over 70 minutes long, divided into 37 tracks, and packaged by various elements such as Blues, Classic, Reggae, and miscellaneous instruments.

In recent days, I have been delighted to hear SEMENTE in the morning when I wake up.

Marcelo Ferrari is a truly amazing guitar player, a great guitar teacher, and someone who is a really well person.

Esta é a minha nova caixinha de palhetas, um presente muito fofo dado com todo o carinho por um amigo muito querido, que é como se fosse um irmão para mim, tá bom? =)

Que por sinal combina com o meu pedal HOBBERTT SIMULAMP-Ub, um pedal que eu amo muito.

Nesta minha fase de descobertas e ampliações dos meus horizontes musicais, eu tenho experimentado mais com as possibilidades do equipamento que eu tenho hoje.

Eu estou plenamente satisfeita com o HOBBERTT SIMULAMP-Ub, e eu considero também que uma das melhores aquisições que eu fiz foi o meu MXR SUPER BADASS DISTORTION.

And Polka blend with with my pedal HOBBERTT SIMULAMP-Ub, a pedal that I love very much.

At this stage of my discoveries and extensions of my musical horizons, I have experienced more with the possibilities of the equipment that I have today.

I am fully satisfied with the HOBBERTT SIMULAMP-Ub, and I also think that one of the best purchases I made was my MXR SUPER BADASS DISTORTION.

A combinação destes dois pedais aliada ao fato de eu usar o ONERR BOOSTED LINE SELECTOR, que além de me possibilitar trabalhar com dois canais (sendo um o meu setor de distorções) também me fornece um booster de agudos muito legal, possibilita que eu tenha à minha disposição um leque muito grande de saturações que vão desde um timbre levemente hot com um drive beem natural até a mais pesada e sólida distorção.

E eu tenho experimentado bastante as nuances e texturas disto tudo, em especial os timbres mais quentes e macios, sem muita saturação.

E o melhor de tudo é que tudo isto é totalmente analógico, orgânico, e natural...

Eu ainda uso a pedaleira BOSS ME-25 apenas para efeitos de modulação, como chorus, flanger, phaser, e wha-wha, além do pedal de volume, mas o meu próximo projeto é adquirir um pedal de wha-wha, estive pensando em um MORLEY STEVE VAI BAD HORSIE 2 CONTOUR WHA, eu me interessei bastante por este pedal, tá bom? (mais uma dica do meu professor...)

Bem, realmente tudo está mudando na minha cabeça, na verdade eu não diria que é uma mudança, mas sim uma EVOLUÇÃO, tá bom? =)

The combination of these two pedals coupled with the fact that I use the ONERR BOOSTED LINE SELECTOR, which besides allowing me to work with two channels (one for my distortion sector) also provides me with one very cool treble booster, enables I have to my disposal a very wide range of saturations ranging from a slightly hot timbre with a very natural drive to the heavier and solid distortion.

And I have experienced quite the nuances and textures of it all, especially the hottest and soft tones , without much saturation.

And best of all is that all this is fully analog, organic, and natural ...

I also use the BOSS ME-25 only for modulation effects such as chorus, flanger, phaser and wha-wha, plus the volume pedal, but my next project is to acquire a wha-wha, I was thinking about a MORLEY STEVE VAI BAD HORSIE 2 CONTOUR WHA, I'm very interested in this pedal, okay? (one more indication by my teacher...)

Well, actually everything is changing in my head, maybe I would not say that it's a change, but a EVOLUTION, okay? =)

Guthrie Govan

Eu descobri Guthrie Govan através da indicação do meu professor de guitarra, e o meu professor de guitarra é alguém em quem eu confio muito, e foi como descobrir um novo universo para mim.

Guthrie Govan é natural de Chelmsford, Essex, Inglaterra (27 de dezembro de 1971) e ele foi o guitarrista do ASIA entre os anos de 2001 e 2006.

Atualmente ele é o guitarrista do THE ARISTOCRATS, e ele tem se tornado uma grande paixão para mim, além de simbolizar este meu momento que eu talvez possa denominar de EXPANSÃO DE HORIZONTES, ou então CAMINHOS TRANSCENDENTES... não sei, para falar a verdade tudo isto parece ser uma grande pieguice da minha parte, mas fato é que algo vem acontecendo comigo e eu ando escutando o mundo ao meu redor com outro tipo de audição, tá bom?

Eu ando pensando em Fusion, e misturas mais loucas ainda do que as misturas com as quais eu já estou acostumada.

Na verdade eu não gosto de estar acostumada com algo, e eu também não posso me sentir presa, e eu ando me sentindo presa a algum tempo.

Bem bem, hora de abrir as asas e voar de verdade, ter a coragem do morcego de se lançar no abismo e simplesmente voar, hora de sair da gaiola, me libertar, e é isto que está acontecendo no momento, nas madrugadas em que a penumbra protege tesouros e doces segredos que não são ainda para serem revelados ou contados mas que podem brilhar, podem brilhar...

Espero que vocês gostem de Guthrie Govan e ARISTOCRATS tanto quanto eu ando gostando.

I discovered Guthrie Govan through my teacher, and my teacher as well as being a wonderful guitar player and a great teacher is someone I trust a lot, and it was like discovering a new universe for me.

Guthrie Govan is from Chelmsford, Essex, England (December 27, 1971) and he was the guitarist of ASIA between the years 2001 and 2006.

He is currently the guitarist of The Aristocrats, and he has become a passion for me.

It also symbolizes this moment I might call EXPANSION OF HORIZONS, or TRANSCENDETS WAYS ... I don't know, to tell the truth all this seems like a great sentimentality from me, but the fact is that something is happening to me and I've been listening to the world around me with another type of hearing, okay?

I've been thinking about Fusion, and even crazier blends than the mixtures with which I'm used to it.

Actually I don't like to be accustomed to something, and I can not feel me trapped, and I've been feeling me trapped to a time.

Well well, time to spread my wings and really fly. Time to have the courage of the bat and throw me into the abyss and just fly, time to get out of the cage, free myself, and this is what is happening at the moment, at dawn, when the darkness protects treasures and sweet secrets that are not revealed but that can shine, can shine ...

I hope you like Guthrie Govan and Aristocrats as much as I've been enjoying.
