Paco de Lucia e Al Di Meola - Entre dos Aguas... and maybe many other waters ...

Salam,

A primeira é que além de tudo que eu sabia dele, o estudo da obra dele tem me levado a sentir o extremo requinte da sua composição e de seus arranjos. Ele era de fato detalhista e perfeccionista em muitos aspectos;

Sublime...

E eu espero que vcs gostem tanto quanto eu gostei, tá bom? =)

Salam,

I'm particularly delighted with this video that I found on Youtube, and I watched for a few days until I could not resist and decided to post it here, okay? =)

Using the text description of the video itself as a base, "Friday Night in San Francisco", was a very remarkable event in the Music History. This event took place on December 5, 1980 at the famous Warfield Theatre in San Francisco, California.

For the first time in history, "flamenco meet Jazz" in a exclusive live performance by Al Di Meola, Paco De Lucia and John McLaughlin.

After this, the three also recorded a second and stupendous album in 1983 entitled "Passion, Grace & Fire" and I had this album for a long time and still remember hearing him in complete silence and musical delight in the room of my parents' house, and this album was very important to increase my musical range and contributed greatly to my development as a musician.

After more than 30 years, Al Di Meola and Paco De Lucia, met again, this time in Germany, to play together in a memorable and inspiring night, okay? =)

Paco de Lucia is part of the group of my favorite guitarists and is for me a great musical influence. Paco de Lucia accompanies me since my earliest childhood when we heard his records in my family's house and since then, flamenco has been a musical style that leaves me completely in love..

There are a bunch of tunes that I could call "arabesque" or "Moorish", I can't define, but this kind of music moves me very much, and always move. The Arabic music is something very appealing to me and flamenco has its roots in Arabic music, already that flamenco emerged in Spain after the Arab presence in the area at the time of Islamic expansion, especially in the region of Andalusia.

Interestingly, I found this video after reading the story of someone who personally knew Randy Rhoads (always present for me =) ...) and I found out by reading this report, that in 1981 he was listening Al Di Meola, and it made me curious to know a little more about the work of this great guitarist.

Now I'm a little absent cause I'm improving myself more in my musical studies, and I went into a phase of intense study of the Randy Rhoads' music, and with this, two points called my attention:

The first is that besides all that I knew about him, the study of his work has led me to feel the extreme elegance of their composition and their arrangements. Randy Rhoads was really thorough and a perfectionist in many ways;

The second, very interesting, is that I begin to recognize myself in his music. This is something very interesting, he used musical elements that I didn't know when I began to be influenced by him, but I also started using the same elements through pure "feeling", to feel what he was playing, and this came  through purely sentimental way, not technical, cause I still didn't have enough knowledge to understand these elements by analytical form...

Paco de Lucia and Al Di Meola ...

Sublime ...

And I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, okay? =)

In Love...

... with my guitar... =D

Ela é a minha guitarra.

...with my guitar... = D

Yes, that's right, I'm always in love with Polka, my guitar, okay?

Polka is not a replica of Randy Rhoads guitar. She is MY guitar.

Yes she is my greatest tribute to Randy, it was developed from the Sandoval Polka Dot V that belonged to Randy, but she is totally different compared to Randy's guitar.

It has 22 frets Gibson scale, her neck has the asymmetrical shape, a suggestion from Paula Bifulco, of Pauleira Guitars, which I loved, and she has the pickups screwed directly into the wood of the body, which in my opinion makes the timbre of the guitar sound more rich and organic.

The controls are totally different, with master volume for both pickups and separate tone for each pickup + kill-switch, and many other different characteristics that make Polka MY guitar, unique, different, a reference to the great love I have for Randy Rhoads, who is and always will be my biggest influence, but Polka is not Randy's guitar, it is my guitar, okay? =)

Announcement - I want to try something new ...

This clip up there is the version of Stay Clean, of Motörhead. Spectrus, the band in which I currently play, made it to Bombing Brazil album, Tribute to Motörhead released by Mafer Records in 2013 with several Brazilian bands like "Ratos de Porão", "Claustrofobia", "Torture Squad" and others.

Currently this is the only record with me on guitar that has already been published, so this is me playing, okay? It's not exactly the style of sound that I usually play in the band, the work we have in the band is heavier, thrash metal oriented, but it is different.

But you can hear me playing, is an example of what I play, okay?

Salam

Well, don't know how to say this but I'm willing to try something new.

And I also don't know how to do this, but I'm looking for contact with musicians (drums, bass, vocals, etc ...) and also contact people (music producers, businesspeople) who have interest in talking about it, okay?

Interested, please write to me: gimarero@yahoo.com.br or send comments to this post, okay? =)

This can be everywhere, not just in Brazil, okay?

The Polka Dots - The kids are playing stars today =D

Ok, I know, I'm writing a lot about Randy again ...

Randy Rhoads Remembered in Brazil!!

Eu gosto de muitos guitarristas e ouço muitas coisas diferentes e tudo isto acaba me influenciando musicalmente.

I like many guitarists and I hear many different things and it all ends up influencing me musically.

But Randy Rhoads is above all this, cause he is and always will be the musician I most love, above all, the number one for me, okay?

Randy Rhoads Remembered is a musical event celebrating the life and work of Randy. This event has happen a long time in the United States, and now for the first time will be held here in Brazil.

If I'm here today playing the guitar, is cause one day I heard Randy play ...

Eternal Love...

About V Guitars and Muscle Cars... and a niqab too...

I chose this photo to illustrate this post cause I think that Polka, my guitar, combines with this 1970 Dodge Challenger beautifully painted with purple ghost flames, okay? =D

V guitars and muscle cars are things that have all to do with me. I love guitars in general but my chosen to play are the V guitars. Just as love cars since I was a kid, and I really like hot rods, street rods and various types of cars, but my favorite are the muscle cars.

This is me, a mixture maybe seasoned by the mixture that formed Brazil, but certainly formed by the concepts that I learned from my father: respect, personality, and the intense demand to be just myself, no less, or else, just myself ...

This post is a somewhat dangerous cause I'm basically talking about me, and I think always dangerous when someone intends to talk about yourself in a text, cause they always receive the influences of our particular view, and this is never fair, and much less free from contamination, since my vision is formed from my point of view, which brings with it the concepts and the way that I interpret the world around me, and this is never the absolute truth. The absolute truth absolute may not exist in the human realm, perhaps this is an exclusive property of Allah (in my belief, of course).

The fact is that it is told by my family that I was born almost in a car, in my dad's car. And my dad liked cars, so I just might even like cars, after all I almost born in a car...

I also feel very connected to the state of California in the United States for several particular reasons. I have the impression that it all started again when I heard Randy Rhoads playing in the Blizzard of Ozz album of Ozzy Osbourne ... I think that many things happened to me at that moment of my life, many things have forever changed in me.

Then I started to like hot rods and custom cars, and finally muscle cars, all this also has to do with California, which already has a tradition of this type of car, okay?

This is me, a Brazilian woman, the fruit of which brings a great mix between these also German blood, metal guitarist who plays with a black with rose dots flying V, and that by mere chance is also a Muslim woman who wears niqab.

V guitars and Muscle Cars... and a niqab too... esta sou eu, uma pequena parte de mim...

I like to write and compose songs, and I study six hours a day every day, in search of the perfect note, the perfect riff, the final tune, maybe I find her until the day that Allah call me, maybe .. .

Maybe I'm also writing this post cause I'm exhausted, tired of being suffocated and annulled by the situation that I now live in my alleged professional career, and I'm really tired, and I feel very suffocated to the point of not endure more , and something will have to happen NOW for me to breathe, because frankly I can not take anymore!

I need TO CARRY SOMETHING! I'm tired of planning, and see the plans falling behind as sheets of poetry that has not yet completed floating on insane and pathetic lull of a stagnant sea, paralyzed, with no wind to move the sail boat and take some place ...

I'm tired of having to wait, wait, wait ... maybe it's time to jump ship without fear of drowning, spread my wings, and fly in search of the MY horizon of MY new morning cause this heaven is old and faded, like a painting stained with raindrops and smelling of mildew.

I feel like I could now finally realize that the screen is old, faded, ripped and route, and I'm ready to finally look THE NEW, something truly new and real.

My only problem is that I still can't see the route, and only for this reason I'm still here in this old stranded ship, I still can not see the route.

But from now on, I'll look for it, and I will find, cause I have much to do, so much to accomplish, I just need to get rid of this OLD AND STRANDED SHIP ...

V guitars and Muscle Cars ... and a niqab too ... this is me, a little part of me ...
