Requiem for a dream...

Salam,

E do samba, pouco realmente me interessa.

Eu pouco sei da história deste time.

Salam,

Hello everyone who reads my blog. Nice to meet you, Yes, I'm a Brazilian woman. I live in Brazil, an immense country that is in the southern part of the American continent, and is known worldwide for carnival, samba and football.

But I really don't like Carnival.

And samba, I really don't care. Only some classic authors of elegance like Cartola.

And honestly, I hate football. I really don't like football. I don't have much appreciation for sports but I can cite at least 7 types of sports that I would certainly prefer. I could name Motor racing first, because I love cars (especially the 1968 Dodge Charger R/T with a monstrous Hemi engine, and other muscle cars...) but I could name tennis, swimming, and others.

I wrote all this to say that I'm really sad and I feel in mourning for the tragedy that struck Chapecoense and that victimized a whole football team.

I sympathize with all the victims, with the families of all the victims of athletes, crew members, journalists, and crew members of the plane who lost their lives so abruptly and tragically in this accident. I sympathize with the entire city of Chapecó that is devastated and shocked because their lost your soons, because their lost people from the city, because with them their also lost a beautiful dream that was becoming a reality, I sympathize with all those affected directly or indirectly by this fall of an airplane and, in my faith, I ask Allah to keep everyone in peace and allow consolation and overcoming of pain for all the relatives, friends and acquaintances of the deads in the accident.

In fact this is not about football. These are human lives, dreams and projects of life that have mingled with the earth and the trees of that mountain and rolled down, getting in the way of life and actually entering history as one of the most tragic aerial accidents of all Times.

I never write based on knowledge, but on feeling. I really don't know the history of this team. Yes, I am sincere in saying this. Because in fact I have no interest in football, I really don't like football.

But I know that it was a team that for the first time appeared with the possibility of being among the great teams of the world. A group that was embodying their golden dream, but also of a whole town, of all their fans, and was enchanting everyone with their walk to the top.

This accident reminded me of the tragic accident that killed Randy Rhoads, my favorite guitarist, and the musician I most love and will love forever, exactly 34 years ago. Because like the Chapecoense players, and like all members of Chapecoense, Randy was just a boy who had already become a warrior and during his short life he fought hard for his professional career. When he achieved success as a musician, his life was tragically interrupted by a plane crash ...

But once citing my faith (which is something totally different from "religion"), I believe that Allah always knows more, and only He knows the motives of His own designs, and this makes me believe that no life exists in vain.

But here in this life remains the longing, the pain of loss, and the limited human thought that makes us wonder how far this team would go.

I'm sorry ... I'm deeply sorry ... I think there is no way to speak against this feeling. There is nothing that can be spoken against this feeling. Because the great truth is that, in fact, something very sad happened ... 😢
